Send Large Files Using OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business is a cloud storage service that facilitates the sending of very large files to e-mail recipients.

Upload your file to OneDrive

  • There are several ways to do this
    • From any Internet connected PC
    • From your regular workstation with the OneDrive for Business sync tool installed
      • Drag and drop (or copy or move) the file into your local sync folder
      • It will be automatically uploaded to your cloud storage

Share Your File

  • There is more than one way to do this too
    • The easiest way is to just create a link and send it via e-mail
      1. Log into your OneDrive for Business account using a web browser
      2. Locate and select the file to be shared
      3. Click Share
      4. Click Get a Link
      5. Select and copy the link
      6. Paste the link into an e-mail you will send to the desired recipient
