==== Forwarding or Redirecting Incoming Messages ====

Forwarding/Redirecting in Outlook is done with 'Rules':

  * Forwarding and Redirecting both leave a copy of the message in your Inbox
  * Forwarding adds "FW:" to the beginning of the Subject line and reformats the message before sending
  * Redirecting just redirects the message as is

To copy all messages to another e-mail address, create a new rule like this:

**Tools -> Rules and Alerts -> New Rule -> for Arriving Messages**

Give the new rule a **name**...something like 'Copy all messages to Fred', then select:

**Forward the message to people or distribution list**

Then click the blue link **People or Distribution Lists** which will bring up your Outlook address book.  Yes, the recipient of these messages must be in your address book.

Double-click the contact you want to be the **recipient** (Fred) and click OK.

Click **Save**.

==== Vacation Messages ====

Vacation messages are just auto-responses to messages people send to you letting them know you are out of the office.  They can contain any info you choose.

**File -> Info -> Automatic Replies (Out of Office)**

In IE, browse to your Exchange server.  With SBS, it's usually something like:

  - Log in and select E-Mail.
  - Click on Options.
  - Select 'Rules' for forwarding.
  - Select 'Out of Office Assistant' for vacation messages.
