When you try to print from IE11, you may see only a URL line a the bottom of the page. Try adding *.google.com to the Trusted Sites list.

First, set the the security settings to defaults:

Tools → Internet Options → Security (tab) → Reset all zones to default level

Then, add the Trusted Site:

Tools → Internet Options → Security (tab) → Trusted Sites → Sites

Add:

https://*.google.com

and restart IE.

You can use Gmail to send mail via the SMTP protocol.

You can stop Gmail from saving copies of Sent messages:

1. Configure your mail client to not save copies in the Sent folder
2. Add a filter rule in Gmail to delete messages from 'me'

Sent messages will still be in the Trash folder for 30 days.
