Firewall warnings are mostly important if accessing the server from other hosts.

1. Add a local user to the MSSQL server (sqldb)
2. Decide where to install to (E:)
3. Install Microsoft .NET 3.5 SP1 (Server Manager → Roles → Add Role → Application Server → .Net 3.5.1)
4. Run the MSSQL setup
5. Run the “System Configuration Checker” and fix any errors
6. Select “Installation” then “New installation or add features to an existing installation.”
7. Install the Setup Support files.
8. On the “Setup Role” page choose “SQL Server Feature Installation.”
