Restore to Smaller Hard Drive
Create the Too Large Image
On PC with too large of drive, open Disk Management in Windows 10/8/7. If you are running Linux system, you can boot your computer from GParted media.
Right click the source partition and click “Shrink Volume” and follow the wizard to shrink the partition.
Shrink the partition to something substantially smaller than you think you need
Reboot to CloneZilla
Select working with images
Create the image using Beginner
Restore to Smaller Drive
Boot to CloneZilla with smaller drive
Choose working with images
Choose Advanced
Choose Restore image
Select image to restore
In advanced options tick icds. This disables checking destination disk size
Continue with the wizard leaving the default options
After imaged on the small drive expand the partition to use entire drive
I suggest after successfully creating the smaller drive image re-save to avoid it being necessary to go through this procedure again.
