Recording Your Personal Greetings

Newer PBXs use the extension number as the default PIN. Upon first access, users will be led through a wizard to set their own PIN and record their greetings.

It is very important that you record your personal greetings. Please do not delay in doing so. It's very easy!

Press the Messages key on your phone
1. Dials *97
2. Use *98 to check your voicemail or record the greetings for or from another extension
3. Use *98 to record greetings for another user (you'll need their PIN)
Choose 0 (zero) for the Mailbox Options
Please record all three personal greetings

Your Full Name
- Used in the Directory
Your Unavailable Greeting
- Played to callers if your extension rings but is not picked up
Your Busy Greeting
- Played to callers if you are on the phone

You should also change your PIN used to access your voicemail. This is also in Mailbox Options.
