====== Yealink Call History ======
On more complicated PBXs with digital trunks, it is common to manipulate the CallerID information being sent with outbound calls. FreePBX developers concluded this was useful information to display to the **caller** making the outbound calls.
FreePBX default settings tell outbound-calling phones to display a **modified CallerID Name** (CNAM) when making outbound calls. They will display:
CID:
where '''' is the **outbound CallerID Number** (CNUM) that the PBX is **sending to the callee**.
===== The Problem =====
Most phones display the dialed number in their call histories making it simple to redial a called number.
Yealink phones will save the modified CNAM in their call history...the same call history that is used for redial functions. A Yealink user that goes to redial a previous outbound call will see their own number in the call history, in the format ''CID:''.
===== The Solution =====
**FreePBX -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Dialplan and Operational** (about half way down the page)
Set ''Display CallerID on Calling Phone'' to ''False''.
