====== Recording Your Personal Greetings ======

<note>Newer PBXs use the **extension number as the default PIN**.  Upon first access, users will be led through a wizard to set their own PIN and record their greetings.</note>

**It is very important that you record your personal greetings.**  Please do not delay in doing so.  It's very easy!

  - Press the Messages key **on your phone**
    - Dials ''*97''
    - Use ''*98'' to check your voicemail or **record the greetings for or from another extension**
    - Use ''*98'' to **record greetings for another user** (you'll need their PIN)
  - Choose ''0'' (zero) for the **Mailbox Options**
  - Please **record all three** personal greetings

  * Your **Full Name**
    * Used in the Directory
  * Your **Unavailable Greeting**
    * Played to callers if your extension rings but is not picked up
  * Your **Busy Greeting**
    * Played to callers if you are on the phone

:!: You should also **change your PIN** used to access your voicemail.  This is also in **Mailbox Options**.
