The FreePBX phone system has a User Control Panel where you can control various settings for your extension such as:

  * **Change your PIN**
  * **Contact Manager**
  * **Find Me/Follow Me**
  * **Call Forwarding**
  * **Call Waiting**
  * **Do Not Disturb**


:!: On FreePBX 12 and **newer systems, your username and password are maintained separately and you should receive an e-mail message with your login details**.

:!: Please **change your password** by clicking on the 'Gear' icon in the lower left after logging in the first time.

===== Access the UCP =====

<note important>On upgraded systems, users may not automatically have permission to access the UCP.  Modify the **All Users** group to include all desired users, or edit each individual user and set your preference on the **UCP tab**.</note>

<note important>The UCP is generally **only accessible from your LAN** (local area network).  In other words, the UCP is only available from **inside your firewall**.  If external access is needed, the firewall can be adjusted.</note>

<note important>**You must use HTTPS protocol to access the UCP** or you will see a bold red error message in the UCP web interface.

===== FollowMe =====

<note tip>FollowMe is an effective method to route incoming calls to your mobile (or other) number if you are not at your desk.</note>

External numbers should be added to the FollowMe List in the following format:

which is 1 + area code + number + #.
