===== Choose During Desktop Client Install =====

You can choose which folders to sync locally during the Nextcloud Desktop Client installation.

<note tip>We recommend to deselect all local synchronization during the initial Nextcloud Desktop Client software installation.  It's easy for users to modify this later and it can smooth out the on-boarding process.</note>
