    - **OSFMount -> Mount New -> <select image> -> Partition 0 -> deselect "Read only" -> click OK**

    - ''sn=XXXXXXXXXX''
    - ''mac1=XXXXXXXXXXX'' (optional)
    - ''timeout= 4'' (boot menu timeout)
    - **Save** the file, **exit** the editor and **dismount** the partition
  - Use **Win32 DiskImager** to **burn the image to a USB drive**
  - Plug the **USB drive into the new NAS** and **reboot it**

<note warning>Be sure to **disable automatic updates**!

**DO NOT use QuickConnect!** It won't work and alerts Synology to your NAS.</note>
