For SME Server, you can use the Server-Manager web interface or the command line:

signal-event reboot
</file>

or:

signal-event halt
</file>

===== General Linux =====

You can shut down or restart most any Linux server at a console prompt using one of the following commands.

Reboot at specified time:

<file>
shutdown hh:mm -r
</file>

Reboot now (three equivalent options):

<file>
shutdown now -r
</file>

or

<file>
reboot
</file>

Shutdown at specified time:

<file>
shutdown hh:mm -h
</file>

Shutdown now (two equivalent options):

<file>
shutdown now -h
</file>

or

<file>
halt
</file>
